Savor Exquisite Sushi
in Kesennuma
“Kesennuma Matsuba Sushi,” located in Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture, is a traditional sushi restaurant founded in 1967.
Although the original location was lost to the tsunami caused by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, the restaurant was lovingly rebuilt by converting the owner's home into a new space.
The menu features the rich bounty of both land and sea from the Sanriku region, with a focus on local ingredients from Kesennuma.
In addition to the popular Omakase Course (chef’s selection), guests can also enjoy dishes such as Kaisendon (seafood rice bowl) and Anago don (conger eel rice bowl).
We warmly invite you to stop by and enjoy a memorable meal during your visit to Kesennuma.
